Have you been to the beautiful Red Arrow Park lately in Manitowoc?!?! The park is very impressive and I urge you to stop to check it out!
I am honored to have been part of a recently completed park project honoring my grandfather, Harold J. Terp, and his military service with the 32nd Red Arrow Division during WWII. With the help of Ed Hansen, he and I went through hundreds of negatives/photos from my grandfather’s war chest to put together this awesome sign which depicts a history of the 32nd Red Arrow Division, the combat campaigns my grandfather and the Division were a part of during WWII and the link to the awesome restored cannon which now sits next to the sign at the entrance to the park. The Division spent 654 continuous days in combat, a feat accomplished by no other Division either before or after.
I want to give a special thanks to Ed Hansen for the work we completed together on this project. It has been a great way to honor my grandfather, the 32nd Division and it’s another great tribute to “The Greatest Generation” and all they’ve done for our country.
